Mullally/Wegmann....a bit of history...

Robert and Tim first met when Tim saw Rob's band Static Passion perform at the 1988 WMNF Tropical Heatwave. Tim comments "they did covers of Rutles songs and a great version of the XTC song Towers of London. I had no idea at the time that we'd be working together one day, but I knew Rob had similar musical influences." Two years later Tim's band Tommy Tye Dye kicked off the 1990 Tropical Heatwave. The two frequently checked out each other's performances during a vibrant music scene in the Tampa Bay area during the late 80's and early 90's.

In 1994 Tim was wrapping up production on his first solo CD, Mountain Hike, when Jim Morris of Morrisound Recording got the two together and the result was the final track on that disc, Freezer Burn. This was a sign of things to come. Rob soon began recording 1998's Red Hair CD and Tim was asked to take part in it.

It was during this period that Rob took up the Chapman Stick as his main instrument, and Tim delved into the Roland guitar synth. They started experimenting with drum loops, and began performing together as Two Worlds Collide. In 1999 they began recording The Mayfly Glimmer. More...
